Road Safety Awareness - St Helier West

Road Safety Awareness - St Helier West

We wanted to share a quick update about dangerous driving in your area. Please be assured we’re working to keep everyone safe.

As your local Safer Neighbourhood Team, we would like to remind all road users to help keep our streets safe for everyone.

🚗 Please drive within speed limits and remain alert, particularly near schools, crossings and residential roads.

🚶 Pedestrians should use designated crossing points where available and avoid distractions such as mobile phones when crossing the road.

🚲 Cyclists and e-bike riders should ensure they are visible, follow road traffic laws and wear appropriate safety equipment.

🏫 With busy school runs and increasing traffic, we ask all drivers to park considerately and avoid obstructing pavements, driveways and junctions.

If you witness dangerous driving or anti-social use of vehicles, please report it via 101, online, or 999 in an emergency.

Together, we can help make St Helier West a safer place for all road users.

If someone is driving a motor vehicle, they should always be doing so in a safe and considerate manner. Even momentary lapses in judgement can have life changing or devastating consequences for those in the vehicle or innocent bystanders.

Activities such as street racing, cruising or performing tricks can count as anti-social behaviour. If you are concerned about this in your area, visit our website for the latest guidance.
