🚑❤️ Know Where Your Nearest Defibrillator Is! ❤️🚑

Every year, thousands of people suffer a sudden cardiac arrest outside of hospital. A defibrillator (AED) can significantly increase a person's chance of survival when used quickly alongside CPR. The first few minutes are critical, and having access to a nearby defibrillator can quite literally mean the difference between life and death.

There are currently 19 publicly accessible defibrillators across Hindley and Hindley Green, helping to provide life-saving equipment when every second counts.

🚨 In the event of a cardiac arrest:

☎️ Call 999 immediately.
👐 Start CPR if you are able.
📍 The call handler will direct you to the nearest available defibrillator and provide any access code required.
❤️ Follow the clear voice prompts from the defibrillator. No training is needed, and it will guide you every step of the way.

🌐 Defibrillators should be registered on The Circuit, the UK's national defibrillator network. This allows ambulance services to locate the nearest available device during an emergency, helping to improve survival rates and save lives. The Circuit works alongside ambulance services and is supported by the British Heart Foundation.

💙 If you look after a defibrillator, please ensure it is registered and kept up to date on The Circuit so that emergency services know it is available when needed.
