Olton WMnow Update

Good morning everyone,

We hope you are all keeping well and have something to look forward to this coming weekend. Here is your update for the Olton area.

Olton Crime Update:

On the morning of the 29th of September there was an attempted burglary on Hillborough Road whereby an unknown suspect has approached the front door of the address and tried to tamper with or gain entry via the front door being swiftly making off in the vehicle.

Over night on the 3rd of October a suspect has used an unknown tool to remove a wing mirror from a VW Golf taking it with them as they fled the location.

Good News:

The team joined Trading Standards for a warrant which resulted in the seizure of a quantity of illegal goods from the premises with our support. A wider investigation is underway being led by Trading Standards to prosecute the offending premises.

The team have stayed on duty after one of our late shifts to tackle local vehicle crime with proactive patrols based upon intelligence which has been received from local residents. After the success of our last targeted vehicle crime operation and as the darker nights start to roll in we will out targeting suspect vehicles at night to make your area safer.

The team attended a joint meeting with the Local Authority in an effort to address the concerns raised by residents about discarded and possibly dangerous drug paraphernalia and the impact it is having on the community. We have been informed that cleaning will be undertaken on a daily basis Monday to Friday and local residents can report sightings of paraphernalia to the local authority to highlight an urgent clean up requirement.

The team have been supplying a dedicated double crew of officers to track down and arrest domestic violence offenders who are living in the area and are currently wanted. This is valuable opportunity for the team to safeguard some of our most vulnerable victims of crime and take offenders off the streets.

We will be in touch again soon with more information and updates. Take care and have a nice weekend!
