Hello Custom House, and welcome to another week.
Street crime was relatively low across the neighbourhood this week. So without further ado, let’s take a look at the latest updates.
In Other News: Your Beckton and Custom House Neighbourhood Teams successfully executed a drugs warrant. They removed cannabis, a dozen offensive weapons, an air pistol, a frequency jammer (for stealing cars) and a highly dangerous firearm disguised as a pen. (very 007 like)

Did You Know? …That Custom House residents once slept right through the loudest sound London had ever heard? In January 1917, a massive TNT factory explosion occurred just down the road in Silvertown. It was so incredibly loud that the blast was heard over 100 miles away in mainland Europe, and the glow in the night sky was seen as far away as Norfolk. Yet, because of the unique way sound waves travel, the blast skipped right over our immediate area. Many exhausted dockworkers sleeping soundly in Custom House at the time reportedly slept straight through the entire explosion—only waking up because their bedroom windows were rattling! | ||
