Continuing Our Road Safety Work Across the Beat
After a wet start yesterday on Welby Lane, I was out today on Pork Pie Way, where thankfully the weather was much kinder.
As part of our ongoing work to address road safety concerns, further speed monitoring was carried out in the area to monitor traffic activity across the beat. These checks form part of a wider initiative that has been prompted by concerns raised regarding the safety to local road users and residents, This will continue at a number of locations in the coming days/weeks.
It's encouraging to see the support from partners and the community as we work together to make our roads safer for everyone. Whether you're driving, cycling or walking, please remember to take care and be mindful of others using the road.
We will continue to be out and about across the beat, listening to concerns and taking positive action where it is needed.
On a separate note I would like to give a big thank you to all the drivers who gave me a wave using all the digits on their hand
