Proactive operations around King's Cross and St Pancras Your local policing teams have been carrying out proactive operations around King’s Cross and St Pancras, working alongside British Transport Police to tackle theft, robbery, shoplifting and antisocial behaviour. Using intelligence and information from the community, officers focused on hotspot locations including St Pancras Road, Argyle Square and surrounding streets. Uniformed and plain-clothed officers worked together to identify offenders, disrupt criminality and provide reassurance to residents, businesses and visitors. Tackling shoplifting remains a priority for us in Camden. We have introduced a new retail crime reporting platform that allows retailers to submit CCTV and evidence directly to officers at the point of reporting. This has helped officers identify suspects faster and target prolific offenders operating across multiple areas. Positive outcome rates for crimes reported through the platform have increased to 29.4 per cent, compared with 7.3 per cent before its introduction. We continue to target repeat offenders. Data shows that just 104 prolific shoplifters were linked to 4,389 offences over the last two financial years, accounting for almost a third of all shoplifting incidents where a suspect was identified. Our focus is not only on responding to crime but preventing it. By working closely with local businesses, transport partners and the community, we're targeting repeat offenders and focusing resources where they can have the biggest impact. This work forms part of wider efforts to tackle neighbourhood crime across London. Over the last 12 months, neighbourhood crime has fallen by 14 per cent, representing 35,000 fewer offences reported, while phone theft has reduced by 16 per cent compared with two years ago. We were joined by media during our proactive activity around St Pancras, you can read the article here. If you have concerns about crime or antisocial behaviour in your area, please continue to report it to us. Your information helps us direct patrols and enforcement activity where they are needed most. Many thanks.
