Hi all
Please find below the crime report for September
Burglary
02/09/26 – Conway Road – At approximately 3am two suspects have entered through a rear door, which was believed to be unlocked. Suspects have been disturbed by the occupants and fled the scene. Car keys and house keys were stolen.
02/09/26 - Conway Road – At between approximately 5:30am and 6am victim was woken by her room door opening and seeing a figure stood in the doorway, suspect fled and victim discovered that cash, bank cards and house keys had been stolen. It is believed that the entry point was an open ground floor flat window. A suspect has been arrested and charged for the offence.
05/09/26 – Montrose Avenue – Attempted burglary, whereby victim has heard a loud bang at the front door and when coming down the stairs to open it, the door has flung open and then swung shut. No suspects were seen.
06/09/26 – Ellerman Avenue – Victim has heard loud bangs at the front door, upon inspection the front door was open and it appeared to of been kicked open.
16/09/26 – Edgar Road, Jamieson House – Victim has witnessed suspect breaking into a ground floor storage area, when challenged suspect has dropped property and ran off.
19/09/26 – Springfield Road – Victim has left the property at approximately 6pm with a family member home. Upon return victim has gone up to their bedroom and found their jewellery box open and empty. It is believed suspects have entered through an unlocked rear door.
22/09/26 – Hanworth Road – Suspect has entered a restaurant and stolen cooking items.
Theft of motor vehicle
12/09/26 – Lyndhurst Avenue – Lexus stolen from outside of the property. Vehicle had an air tag in it and was found by victim by Whitton Station and recovered. 25/09/26 – Lyndhurst Avenue – Land Rover stolen from driveway whilst left unlocked with a key inside the vehicle. Vehicle recovered in Romford a few days later after discovery by police. 26/09/26 – Powder Mill Lane – Motor bike stolen from location.
Theft from Motor vehicle
07/09/26 – Ashley Drive – Suspects have entered vehicle and interfered with the fuse box, contents of glove box left scattered in the car 07/09/26 – Longford Road – Suspect has stolen electrical items including iphone and macbook. Electricals tracked by victim and police were able to locate the suspect and the suspect was arrested and charged. 16/09/26 – Simpson Road – Vehicles broken into at location 22/09/26 – Ashley Drive – Backpack stolen from vehicle 25/09/26 – Waverley Avenue – Suspected has entered unlocked vehicle and taken wired headphones and a tool to smash windows. 28/09/26 – Hanworth Road – Vehicle interference whereby victim has found multiple trackers placed on Mercedes work van.
Robbery
25/09/26 – Nelson Gardens – Victim assaulted and backpack stolen whilst unloading items from their car on their driveway.
We believe the attempted burglaries above where the front doors have been kicked, is part of a social media trend. We are of the understanding that it is being carried out by teenagers who kick the door to get a reaction from the person inside and then they runaway.
As we begin to enter the darker evenings be aware of leaving your home in darkness when not at home. You can buy lights that have timers or leave the tv on and set it to turn off by itself, to give the impression that someone is home
