Parcel Theft Warning

Parcel Theft Warning

Good evening,

We have recently received a couple of reports of parcels being stolen after it was delivered and left outside a property.

With Amazon Prime Day, Black Friday and the Christmas shopping season approaching, many residents will be ordering more items online.

Unfortunately, this is also a time when thieves may target unattended deliveries left on doorsteps. Greater Manchester Police advises residents to take simple precautions to reduce the risk of doorstep theft. [gmp.police.uk]

To help keep your deliveries safe:

✅ Track your parcel and try to ensure someone is available to receive it.
✅ Arrange for parcels to be delivered to a trusted neighbour, friend or family member.
✅ Consider using a parcel locker or designated collection point, particularly for high-value items.
✅ Install a video doorbell and/or security lighting to help monitor deliveries.
✅ If you're not at home, update your delivery preferences to avoid parcels being left in view outside your property. [gmp.police.uk] [gmp.police.uk] [gmp.police.uk] [gmp.police.uk]

A little planning can go a long way in preventing parcels from falling into the wrong hands.

Thanks
