Crime Prevention – Mobile Phone Theft |

|
Dear residents,
We want to help keep our local community safe. Here are some simple steps to help protect your mobile phone when out and about: • Look up and look out – stay aware of your surroundings. • Avoid texting while walking. • If you need to use your phone, stand away from the roadside, preferably close to a building or wall. • Keep your phone out of sight when you have finished using it. • Use your phone’s security features, such as Face ID, fingerprint or a strong passcode. • Make a note of your phone’s IMEI number by dialling *#06# and keep it somewhere safe. • Never put yourself at risk or confront an offender if your phone is stolen. If a theft has just happened, or you feel unsafe, call 999. For non-emergency reports, call 101 or report online. For further advice, visit the Metropolitan Police website. | ||
