Parcel and garden ornament thefts

Parcel and garden ornament thefts

Dear Resident

We have recently been receiving reports about thefts of parcels from doorsteps and garden items such as plant pots, door wreaths and garden ornaments.

Please ensure where possible you have parcels left in a safe place so they are not visible from the road/pavement or with a neighbour. Many retailers give you the option to stipulate where you would like your item left, alternatively consider collecting from a local locker pick up station for peace of mind.

Other items listed above have also been taken recently please try and secure your items where possible or mark them with your postcode and house number so they may be returned more easily should they be recovered.

We cannot recommend any devices but cctv or doorcameras can be invaluable and are readily available in stores and online.

Please work together to combat these issues, look out for your neighbours and your local community.

Please report any suspicious behaviour by calling 101 or go online at www.westmercia.police.uk/report If you are in danger or believe someone else is please dial 999.
