Neighbourhood Policing Team Weekly Update |

Good evening,
Our photographer has had the week off, so no pictures this week! But the results make up for it!
On Wednesday, officers and PCSOs from the neighbourhood policing team, working alongside the RSPCA, carried out a Section 23 warrant at a property following concerns for animal welfare. As a result of the warrant, a number of animals were seized and removed from the address. The animals are now receiving appropriate care while investigations continue. We would like to thank the RSPCA for their support and professionalism during the operation. Partnership working plays a vital role in protecting animal welfare and keeping our communities safe.
On Thursday, officers assisted our CID colleagues by arresting an outstanding male. Due to some quick thinking of likely routes he would take, the individual was apprehended on a street and arrested under suspicion of rape. A great example of how teamwork across departments and proactive patrol work can help keep our communities safe.
On Thursday and Friday, PC Beck and PCSO Sam carried out two home visits to issue Acceptable Behaviour Contracts (ABCs) to young persons who had reached the highest level of intervention within the Community Consequences Scheme. The Community Consequences Scheme, which is managed by the BCP Anti-Social Behaviour Team, is designed to address low-level anti-social behaviour at an early stage. It provides opportunities for young people to reflect on their actions, take responsibility for their behaviour, and make positive changes before more formal enforcement action becomes necessary. An Acceptable Behaviour Contract is an agreement between the individual, their parents or guardians, and partner agencies. The contract clearly outlines the behaviour that has caused concern and sets expectations for future conduct. It also highlights the support available to help the young person make better choices moving forward.
