Neighbourhood Update Hello Resident. I hope you’re doing well. I am Police Community Support Officer Ben Priest here to give you the weekly Neighbour Hood Update.
What has our team been doing? Our officers have kept themselves busy this week by seizing a total of four vehicles for not having valid Tax. One of the vehicles what was seized had not had valid Tax since 01/01/2025, to which it brough a smile to our faces, seeing it be recovered and taken away. And many other vehicles what our officers could not seize due to legislation reasons, have been seen reported to the local Council where we hope to see even more be taken away.
Our team also attended St Peters R C Junior & Infant School, for a lunch time visit with Key stage one and two, where members of our team interacted, played and educated students with what we do, what equipment/vehicles we use, and what interesting story’s we have to tell what we have had while being in the Job.

What’s been occurring in Bartley Green Since the last WMNOW message, we have received three reports of theft of a Motor Vehicle. We advise that you lock your car and make sure your windows are fully up and not down in any way. We then advise that you invest in additional security features such as a DISK Lock, tracking device or even a Handbrake/gear stick lock. Making it harder for offenders to steal your vehicle or even not bother trying to steal it.
Since the last WMNOW message, we have had four criminal damage to residential building reports. We advise that you install CCTV cameras to record any offences what occurs, as well as to obtain the offenders face what will help officers in their investigation in being able to find out who the offender is, and obtain a positive outcome through a criminal conviction.
Additional Information We encourage residents to register their home/business CCTV and doorbell cameras, as this helps us to solve crimes and get a positive outcome, as your CCTV cameras can provide us the appropriate footage what captures the crime in question. This helps us solves crimes but also helps to keep your community safer. Use the link below to register your CCTV cameras by putting in the relevant details what the West Midlands Police website asks of you CCTV Registry | West Midlands Police

We are still experiencing an increase of demand from across the area over the last few weeks, with more people calling and asking for help. Our staff work extremely hard to answer and respond to your calls and live chats. But due to the high demand it can cause callers to have to wait longer than they should, what is something neither of us want at all. We prioritize your enquires/calls based on how urgent they are, but we always appreciate that you want help as soon as possible.
In Non-emergencies circumstances, we want you to get in contact with us through the live web chat, or the Non-emergency telephone 101. If your circumstances are emergencies, then please call 999. Bartley Green Neighbourhood Team. | ||
