🚔 HATE CRIME ACTION WEEK 🚔

🚔 HATE CRIME ACTION WEEK 🚔

Morning All this week is officially -- 🚔 HATE CRIME ACTION WEEK 🚔

This will be the topic of discussion during my community Catch-ups this week - with the first of the day being at Newtons Community Centre at 10:30am onwards.

For those not able to make any of them it is to talk about things like ❓ What is hate crime❓https://www.report-it.org.uk/reporting_internet_hate_crime/

Hate crime is when a criminal offence is motivated by hostility or prejudice towards someone because of their race, religion, sexual orientation, disability or transgender identity.

🚨 It can include:
👊 Physical assault
🗣️ Verbal abuse, threats or name-calling
📱 Online abuse and threatening messages

📢 How do you report it❓

🔴 Emergency? Call 999.

💻 For non-emergencies, report it online to Derbyshire Police https://www.derbyshire.police.uk/ro/report/hate-crime/triage/v1/report-hate-crime/

You don't need to be certain it's a hate crime to report it. If something feels wrong, speak up.

💙 Hate has no place in our community. Let's stand together and support each other 🙌🏼

📲 See it. Report it. Stop it.
