Bike Marking - 16th Oct SURBITON YMCA

Following Alexandra SNT and Tolworth SNT's bike marking event at Alexandra Park this past weekend, we will be holding a follow up marking event at Surbiton YMCA, 49 Victoria Road, KT6 4NG on Friday 16th October between 10am and 3pm.

Attendance is via appointment only and time slots will be allocated to help manage demand and minimise waiting times. To request a time slot, either reply directly to this message via Met Engage or email berrylands@met.police.uk

BIKE MARKING - HOW DOES IT WORK?

Officers will apply two highly durable, tamper-resistant BikeRegister QR code stickers directly onto the frame of your bike. If the bike is ever stolen and subsequently recovered, Police can instantly scan the QR code to check its status on the BikeRegister national database and ensure it is returned.

The tough, UV-shielded material ensures the stickers cannot be cleanly removed without leaving a clear trace and act as a deterrent to potential thieves

These stickers usually retail at £12.99 as part of the BikeRegister “Membership Plus” Kit but are being offered completely free of charge.

If you'd like to get your bike marked and registered but are not able to attend this event, please contact us via Met Engage and we can look to arrange this at a time convenient to you.
