Vehicle Crime Alert - Copthorne Area

We have recently received reports of vehicles being damaged in the Copthorne area during the evening and early hours of the morning. Many of the affected vehicles were parked on the road outside residential properties.

We would like to remind residents to remain vigilant and take a few simple precautions to help protect their vehicles:

🚗 Park in a well-lit area wherever possible.
🚗 Consider parking in a driveway or secure location if available.
🚗 Ensure your vehicle is locked and all windows are fully closed.
🚗 Remove valuables from view, including bags, wallets, mobile phones and charging cables.
🚗 Consider using CCTV, dashcams or security lighting to deter offenders and assist with investigations.

If you notice any suspicious activity in your area, please report it to police. If a crime is in progress, always call 999.

By working together and remaining vigilant, we can help reduce opportunities for vehicle crime and keep our community safe.

Thank you for your support.
