We would like to make you aware of an increase in Blue Badge thefts in Croydon.

Blue Badges are being targeted by opportunist thieves, often taken from vehicles when left on display. These offences can happen quickly and can have a significant impact on those who rely on their badge for everyday mobility.

Protecting your Blue Badge

Please consider the following steps to reduce the risk of your blue badge being taken: -

Consider purchasing an Anti Theft Blue Badge Holder

Never leaving your Blue Badge in your car overnight, even if you think it is hidden from view.

Check your vehicle is locked and secure before leaving. Fully close all windows, sunroofs, and doors, and double-check that the vehicle is locked before walking away.

Remove valuables belongings. Remove all bags, coats, electronics, and charging cables from sight so thieves are not tempted by an opportunistic smash-and-grab.
