On Saturday 10th October 2026 officers attended reports of a Burglary at a building close to the junction of Bradford Street / Bromwich Street. Offenders had smashed a glass panel to gain entry to a building where they had then stolen cash and IT equipment.
Officers from GMP's Bolton Response Team and the Divisional Investigation team were able to identify an offender for this offence later the same day and following extensive work around these matters a suspect was later arrested in connection with this Burglary and two other offences in Bolton Town Centre. Charges were later authorised for the offences and the suspect was remanded in custody to court on Monday.
The suspect has been remanded into custody and is due to next appear at court - 30/10/2026 for sentencing.
Since this action there has been no further Burglary offences in the area however it is of course always wise to remain vigilant and safe. Please also ensure that all offences and suspicious activity are promptly reported to GMP using 101 or online at gmp.police.uk even if you don’t think there is an evidence.
