Piccadilly Gardens Team Take Action During Busy Two Days of Patrols

Piccadilly Gardens Neighbourhood Policing Team have had an exceptionally busy couple of days, with officers out on patrol yesterday and today making arrests and taking action against those suspected of criminal offences.

Leading the way was PC Zamecnik, who arrested four adult males in connection with two warrants, an affray and a breach of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

PC Lomax also joined the action, making an arrest in connection with a shoplifting offence, while PC Crowson arrested a male for breaching his Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO).

These results demonstrate the team’s continued commitment to proactive policing across Piccadilly Gardens and the wider city centre, targeting offenders and taking action against those whose behaviour impacts on the safety and experience of the local community.

Sergeant Jon Wyatt, of Piccadilly Gardens Neighbourhood Policing Team, said:

“We’ve had a really busy couple of days, with officers out on patrol and taking positive action against individuals suspected of a range of offences.

“PC Zamecnik has had an outstanding couple of days, making four arrests, while PCs Lomax and Crowson have also made arrests. This is exactly the sort of proactive work we want to see from the team.

“We will continue to maintain a visible presence in Piccadilly Gardens, pursue offenders and work with our partners and the public to make Manchester city centre a safer and more welcoming place for everyone.”

The team will continue its patrols and proactive activity, focusing on tackling crime and antisocial behaviour and ensuring that Piccadilly Gardens remains a place where residents, visitors and businesses feel safe.
