Officers have been patrolling the local parks as part of our Violence Against Women and Girls focus

This week officers from Sutton safer Neighbourhood teams have been conducting patrols in the parks around Carshalton and Beddington to provide extra coverage during a period of intensification around our drive to combat violence against women and girls across London.

We received some very positive feedback from the people we interacted with and were able to keep an eye on the issue of antisocial behaviour in the area.

We would like to thank those who took the time to come and talk to us about local issues and use this as an opportunity to remind residents to keep an eye out for coffee with a coper sessions where issues can be raised in an informal setting with your local officers.

We wish to reassure the public that our extra patrols were part of a London wide operation and is not based on specific intelligence received.

In addition to parks patrols officers were targeting people unlawfully at large in the Sutton area
