Castlefield Neighbourhood Beat Officers, PC Jack Gregory and PC Maria Ali, are pleased to report that a shoplifter, who relentlessly targeted Sainsbury's, Castlefield, over a three month period has now been caught.
The man, who is in his twenties, stole meat, cheese, alcohol and detergent from the store over a period lasting from August through to October. The value of the stolen stock exceeded £3,200 in total.
On 9th October, he was finally apprehended when Sainsbury's staff contacted PC Gregory directly and he was arrested at the scene.
In total, the offender was charged with twenty seven shopliftings. He was on a suspended sentence for an unrelated matter, so was given 77 weeks in prison in total.
As NBOs, we are delighted to have taken Castlefield's most wanted player off the board for the foreseeable future. |
