📢 Your Local Policing Priorities for Otford & Shoreham

📢 Your Local Policing Priorities for Otford & Shoreham

Good afternoon Resident,

Following engagement with residents, community feedback and local reporting, the 3 policing priorities for the Otford & Shoreham ward have now been identified as:

🚗 Nuisance Vehicles
Residents have highlighted concerns regarding vehicles being used in a manner that causes disruption within the community, including excessive speeding, anti-social driving, unnecessary noise and inconsiderate use of the road network. Your local officers will continue to carry out targeted patrols, gather intelligence and take appropriate action against those causing concern.

🏠 Residential Burglary
Protecting people's homes remains a key priority. We understand the significant impact burglary has on victims and the wider community. Officers will be focusing on crime prevention, reassurance patrols and proactive work to identify and target offenders. We encourage residents to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity promptly.

🔐 Vehicle Crime
Vehicle crime, including theft of vehicles and theft from vehicles, continues to affect local communities. Your neighbourhood policing team will be conducting proactive patrols, sharing crime prevention advice and working to identify those responsible. Residents are reminded to ensure vehicles are secured and valuables are not left on display.

👮 Your local neighbourhood policing team will be working alongside partner agencies and the community to address these priorities over the coming months. Community information and reporting are invaluable in helping us identify issues and direct resources where they are needed most. If you witness a crime, anti-social behaviour or have information relating to these priorities, please report it via the Kent Police website or by calling 101. In an emergency, always dial 999.

Kind regards,

Ashleigh
