Road Safety |

Be bright, be seen. Calling all cyclists and parents of cyclists… this is your wintery reminder to light up! It’s not all about tickets and fines, we want cyclists to be safe on our roads. Being seen by motorists, can reduce in injuries on the streets. It’s essential to have a white front light and a rear red light. This is the minimum you can do, to ensure the rider is seen. Especially if you have young children riding on bikes. Too many people wear dark clothing when cycling, we would love to see more colours. Bonus points to those wearing reflective clothing and fluorescent jackets, helmets or vests. Check each light mounting to make sure it isn’t snapped or broken, check the batteries and make sure the lights don’t need to be replaced if they are dull or not working properly. Please help us to reduce collisions on our roads by continuing to be seen.
