Hate Crime Awareness Partnership Event - Ilford Exchange

Hate Crime Awareness Partnership Event - Ilford Exchange

On 15 October 2026, Ilford Town Ward Safer Neighbourhood Officers PCSO Sethi, PCSO Titcombe and PCSO Alfred conducted a joint partnership engagement event at Ilford Exchange between 11:00am and 4:00pm.

The event focused on Hate Crime Awareness, providing information on what constitutes a hate crime, how to report incidents, and the potential consequences for offenders. Officers engaged with members of the public, offering crime prevention advice and reassurance, while encouraging residents to report hate crime and support affected individuals within the community.

The event was supported by several partner agencies, including Age UK, One Place East, Redbridge Council and the British Muslim Trust, who provided information about the services and support available to local residents.

The event was very well received, with a high level of public engagement throughout the day. Officers and partners spoke with numerous residents, answered questions, addressed concerns, and helped raise awareness of the importance of challenging hate crime and fostering community cohesion.

Thank you to all partner organisations and members of the public who took the time to engage with us and support this important initiative.
