Burglary Update

Burglary Update

Dear resident

Please be aware we are currently investigating a number of repeat burglary offenders who continue to be our prolific shoplifters in the town centres.

Your Neighbourhood Policing Teams (NPT) are actively targeting these individuals through proactive enforcement activity and ensuring investigation files are Op Retail-ready to support swift charging decisions when offenders are arrested.

The only emerging theme is a small number of opportunist walk-in burglaries in the Beeston area involving insecure properties. However, there is no clear linked series.

NPT has sent crime prevention messages via Nottinghamshire Alert, conducted increased patrols in affected areas, and provided security advice to residents to reduce opportunities for offending.

Please also take a moment to read the attached crime prevention advice 'Securing your Home'.

Many thanks

Your Neighbourhood Policing Team
