Rogue Trader Warning

Rogue Trader Warning

Dear Resident

We are reminding residents to remain vigilant of rogue traders operating in the area. Individuals may cold call at your property offering services such as roofing, driveway repairs, gardening, or home improvements. We have also received reports of people attempting to purchase vehicles from residents at their homes.

Doorstep Safety Tips:

✅ Do not agree to work or sell items on the doorstep.
✅ Never feel pressured into making an immediate decision.
✅ Ask for identification and verify credentials.
✅ Obtain at least three quotes from reputable businesses.
✅ Do not hand over cash or make upfront payments.
✅ If in doubt, close the door and seek advice from a trusted friend or family member.

Please look out for elderly or vulnerable neighbours and report any suspicious activity via 101 or online. In an emergency, always dial 999.
