Good Morning Heston East Residents and Ward Panel Members,
On Wednesday 14th Oct 2026 we held the Quarterly Ward Panel Meeting for Heston East Ward attended by a number of Residents from the Ward and the Councillor Jasmin Deol and the Heston East Neighbourhood Team and the Neighbourhood Sargent and we were able to discuss a number of issues related to Heston East Ward an the crimes that residents have experienced. While at the meeting it was discussed the need for a understanding of what for and when to call 101 or 999 and what assessment is made on a call to emergency call.
Listed below is a simple explanation to this question..
We would advise to call 999 for any incident that is happening there and then that is of concern to you or if someone is in danger or needs urgent attention with these calls it is important to share as much detail as you can like. What is happening Description of Persons e.g Clothing and Height / Race / Sex If Weapons involved Dangers you are having or see Any Vehicles involved Direction of Travel Danger you are in or others
After these details are shared an assessment will be made looking at other reports that have taken place at that time of the call and there urgency and see who can attend that is near by and in the area sometimes these calls can seem a bit drawn out but we would suggest you stay and give as much detail as you can and stay with the incident if safe to do so.
In regards to 101 or reporting online these happen for things that have already taken place and no suspect is around and no danger seen in the area although it may have a great impact on you and may feel concerned and worried we will still attend and speak with you but on a slower non emergency call thing like. Drinking or Smoking Causing ASB Noise ASB Theft already Happened Discovery of Theft has taken place of Bike or Car
If you have any concerns you wish to share with us or just want to get some advice or a better understanding please stop us and talk with us at any time.
Thank you Andrew Bennion Heston East SNT
