I wanted to provide you with an update regarding Anti-social behaviour - General, which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey. Fireworks Reminder for Hemlington Residents
As we enter the fireworks season, Cleveland Police are reminding residents that the misuse of fireworks can cause significant distress to local communities, particularly young children, elderly residents, and pet owners.
Using fireworks in the street, throwing fireworks, or using them in a way that causes alarm, harassment, or distress may constitute an offence and could result in police action.
Officers will be carrying out patrols across Hemlington and will take robust action against anyone found using fireworks irresponsibly or engaging in anti-social behaviour.
Residents are encouraged to report:
Fireworks being set off in streets, alleys, parks, or other public spaces. Fireworks being thrown at people, vehicles, or property. Groups causing anti-social behaviour involving fireworks. Concerns regarding the sale of fireworks to persons under 18 years of age.
To report non-emergency incidents, call 101 or use the online reporting system via the Cleveland Police website. In an emergency, or where there is an immediate risk to life or property, always call 999.
By reporting incidents, you can help us identify problem areas and take action to keep Hemlington safe for everyone.
