WHAT’s BEEN HAPPENING
Officers have been successful in stopping uninsured vehicles this week. All vehicles were recovered for no insurance and will only be returned to the registered keeper if they can prove they have valid insurance.
One vehicle that was stopped for no insurance, officers found class A drugs on the driver. He was arrested and the vehicle recovered.
A vehicle stopped at the Alvis Retail Park had no insurance, no tax or no valid MOT. The driver also held no licence. The vehicle was recovered and the driver will be endorsed with points for driving without a licence.
TENT BOXES
We have seen an increase in the theft of tent boxes that are on top of vehicles. Please be vigilant, if you keep your tent box on top of your vehicle then please consider installing CCTV that is focused on the vehicle. Our advice would always be to remove it from the vehicle when not in use.
HALLOWEEN Halloween is just around the corner. Stay tuned for advice around trick or treating and staying safe when out and about. We want all our community to have a safe but fun evening.
Enjoy your week ahead
Regards
Sherbourne Police Team
