Gainsborough Avenue - Firework ASB

Gainsborough Avenue - Firework ASB

Good afternoon,

We have received reports over the past few days from the Gainsborough Avenue area of Burnley, of youths setting off fireworks.

The reports state that a group of 12/13 year olds were firing fireworks at each other, in to the road and towards vehicles.

If you children have been out after dark over the past few days, please ask them what they have been up to, and have a discussion around the dangers of fireworks.

We have been in to some high schools already with Lancashire Fire and Rescue to teach children the dangers and legal implications of possessing fireworks, and will continue to do so in the run up to Bonfire Night.

If you have any CCTV or information that may assist us in identifying the children involved, or if you have any information who is selling fireworks to children, please reply to this email.

Thank you

Burnley NPT
