Dear Residents, PCSO Gilkes here this is a quick round up from me and the rest of the Hillfield’s neighbourhood policing team. What`s been happening: We have conducted high visible patrols around your neighbourhood, aiming at the hotspots for anti-social behaviour. We have conducted warrants, vehicle ops and engagements. COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT: Your local Neighbourhood team have been out and about engaging in the community. This week we conducted Street Watch walk with residents in your local neighbourhood. This was a great turn out, and having the local authority join along. We are seeing more residents interested in joining which has been great to see. There is a link at the bottom on how to join. We conducted a warrant in your local neighbourhood, which was a success. We managed to seize drugs and weapons. This resulted in having one in custody. You may have seen plenty of police on Harnall Lane East this week. We completed a vehicle Operation whereby we were stopping cars, checking them they are fit for the road and having the correct insurance, MOT and TAX. We managed to seize several vehicles for not having insurance and licence. If you are experiencing erratic driving in your area and you have dashcam footage you can report it via Operation Snap | West Midlands Police - This is the opportunity for members of public to share images / details of persons committing Traffic Offences. Click the link for further information. Due to the ongoing anti-social behaviour that has been ongoing in Signet Square, we have been conducting high visible patrols. These patrols will be continued to reassure the residents and prevent further issues. We have also been engaging with shops that have also been experiencing a high volume of Anti-Social behaviour. We will continue conducting these reassurance visits and be high visible presence.
ARRESTS: This week your local officers made some great arrests this set. Altogether there were 10 arrests made regarding known offenders causing issues within the local neighbourhood this week. We have also completed 13 stop and search this week. OTHER HIGHLIGHTS OF THE WEEK: Officers have been out completing patrols in hotspot locations and conducting stop and searches. This has resulting in numerous drugs being seized. We have seen an increase in Tent Box thefts across Coventry. If you own a Tent Box, make sure you take it off your vehicle overnight, take it inside and make sure it is safe and secure. Your CCTV helps us solve real crimes. We are urging local businesses, residents, and community groups to sign up to our CCTV registry online: CCTV Registry | West Midlands Police. It only takes five minutes and can help us bring more opportunistic burglars and thieves to justice.
