Your Local Burglary and ASB update

Here’s an update on burglary locally.

At our recent Ward Panel Meeting, residents identified burglary and anti-social behaviour on the Stonegrove Estate as key local priorities. In response to these concerns, officers adjusted their shift patterns and carried out additional evening and overnight patrols across the ward.

These proactive patrols delivered immediate results. Officers attempted to stop a suspicious vehicle, which failed to stop and was later abandoned. With assistance from the National Police Air Service and police dog units, the suspect was located and arrested after attempting to evade capture on foot.

Later that same night, a second vehicle linked to burglary offences in the area was identified, leading to a further arrest. Between the two incidents, two individuals were arrested and subsequently charged with a combined total of 10 offences.

This activity demonstrates our commitment to tackling the issues raised by residents. We will continue to carry out targeted patrols, disrupt criminal activity, and work to keep our neighbourhoods safe

Across London, we’re now arresting more than 1,000 extra criminals every month and seeing local crimes like burglary, robbery and theft start to fall, with ‘neighbourhood crime’ down 14%.

While we will continue to pursue burglars in the area, there are steps you can do to help keep your property safe. Please go to our website to find the latest advice and guidance on keeping yourself safe and protecting your home.
