AFC Bournemouth Europa League fixture, Thursday 22 October 2026

We look forward to welcoming fans from AC Milan this week as AFC Bournemouth hosts its second home Europa League fixture.

We have been working with partners to ensure we are fully prepared for this historic occasion and are able to facilitate a safe event that everyone can enjoy.

We all want to ensure fans from both sides are able to enjoy the occasion while any impact on the local community is kept to a minimum.

As we advised ahead of last week’s fixture, these European fixtures are likely to have a different look and feel to them compared to the domestic matches we are used to seeing AFC Bournemouth host.

Many European supporters will look to take part in fan walks through parts of the town, which is something our communities may not have witnessed before. These events are likely to include loud speakers, drums, music and chanting, as well as possibly pyrotechnics.

AC Milan fans are expected to gather in Bournemouth town centre during the afternoon of the game before travelling via train from Bournemouth to Pokesdown, where they will take part in a fan walk either through Kings Park or the surrounding roads to the stadium ahead of the 8pm kick off.

We have been working with our partners to ensure that any disruption caused by this event is kept to a minimum and those taking part are able to do so safely.

We will also have police resources in place in the town following the match to provide a visible presence for those who choose to enjoy a night out in Bournemouth following the fixture.
