We wanted to share a quick update about dangerous driving in your area. Please be assured we’re working to keep everyone safe. Dear residents,
A proactive traffic enforcement operation was conducted on Argall Way between 1000hrs and 1400hrs. During the operation, officers stopped and engaged with a total of 32 vehicles, carrying out vehicle and driver checks while maintaining a highly visible policing presence within the area. Enforcement activity resulted in the issue of 2 Traffic Offence Reports (TORs) for various road traffic offences. The operation also resulted in 2 arrests for offences identified during policing activity: • 1 x Arrest for Common Assault • 1 x Arrest for Immigration Offences In addition to enforcement activity, officers had numerous positive interactions with members of the public and local businesses. These engagements provided opportunities to offer crime prevention advice, address community concerns, and deliver reassurance through proactive and visible policing. Feedback received from local businesses and members of the community was positive, with many welcoming the increased police presence and the proactive approach to tackling both road safety concerns and criminality within the area. The operation successfully combined traffic enforcement, crime detection, and community engagement, contributing to public reassurance and the disruption of criminal activity. If someone is driving a motor vehicle, they should always be doing so in a safe and considerate manner. Even momentary lapses in judgement can have life changing or devastating consequences for those in the vehicle or innocent bystanders. Activities such as street racing, cruising or performing tricks can count as anti-social behaviour. If you are concerned about this in your area, visit our website for the latest guidance.
