New PC makes first arrest outside Shepherd's Bush Market.

Congratulations to PC Rachel, who made her first arrest on our ward today. While on patrol with a more experienced colleague, a man was spotted outside Shepherd's Bush Market on Goldhawk Road who was wanted for recall to prison.

Rachel has only recently joined the ward after completing her initial training, making this an important milestone early in her policing career.

Some offenders released from prison before the end of their sentence are released "on licence", meaning they must comply with conditions set by the Probation Service. Those who breach these conditions can be recalled to prison, and police officers are tasked with locating and arresting them.
