Hello Resident,
Here's a quick update from your local Penn & Merry Hill Neighbourhood Policing Team about what we've been doing in your area and what's coming up over the next few weeks.
✅ Good News from Your Local Policing Team
We recently held another community drop-in at Warstones Library, which was a really positive session.
It was great to see residents coming along to have a chat with us. We were able to help people with their questions, offer advice and listen to concerns about things happening in their neighbourhoods.
These meetings are a great opportunity for us to get to know you and find out what matters most to local people.
A big thank you to everyone who came along!
📅 Upcoming Police & Community Engagements
Our next community drop-in:
Wednesday 28 October 2026
- Time: 10am – 12pm - Location: Swanmore Community Centre, Swanmore Close, Bradmore, Wolverhampton, WV3 7JY
Whether you've got a concern about your area, need some advice or just fancy popping in to say hello, you're more than welcome.
We'd love to see you there!
🚨 Crime & Safety Updates – Anti-Social Behaviour in Merry Hill
We've recently received reports of groups of youths causing anti-social behaviour around Hamble Road, Warstones Drive and the surrounding Merry Hill area. This has included eggs being thrown at people's homes, doors being knocked and residents being disturbed. We understand how frustrating and upsetting this can be, particularly for residents who have been repeatedly targeted. Here's what we're doing about it:
- Increasing our patrols around the affected streets. - Speaking with local schools to raise awareness of the behaviour and the impact it has on residents. - Working with local shops and asking staff to be mindful of groups of young people purchasing eggs. - Following up on information from residents to help identify those responsible.
We could also do with your help. If you know who may be involved, have CCTV or doorbell footage, or have witnessed similar incidents, please get in touch. Even a small piece of information could help us identify those responsible and prevent further incidents.
🎃 Crime Prevention Tips – Mischief Week, Halloween & Bonfire Night
With Halloween and Bonfire Night approaching, we're encouraging everyone to enjoy themselves while being considerate of others. West Midlands Police will be carrying out additional patrols and working with schools, businesses and local partners to help prevent anti-social behaviour during this period. A few friendly reminders:
Parents and carers: Please have a chat with your children about where they're going and the importance of respecting other people's homes. Trick or treating: Not everyone wants to take part, so please respect those who don't wish to be disturbed. Fireworks: Only use them safely and responsibly. Never throw fireworks or direct them towards people, animals or property. Residents: If you're experiencing anti-social behaviour, please report it rather than assuming somebody else already has.
We want everyone to enjoy the celebrations without causing distress to others.
