Dear Resident, I wanted to provide you with an update regarding Violence against women and girls, which people around your area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the priority survey. Joint Barkingside and Fairlop SNT Walk and Talk Supporting Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG)
Officers from Barkingside SNT and Fairlop SNT recently attended a community Walk and Talk event at Gateway Community Church, Ethelbert Gardens, Gants Hill, aimed at supporting our ongoing work to tackle Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG).
The event provided a valuable opportunity for officers to engage with local residents, listen to concerns, and discuss how we can work together to make our public spaces feel safer and more welcoming for everyone. Community feedback plays an important role in helping us identify areas of concern and shape our local policing priorities.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Cllr Martin Sachs and Barkingside Ward Chair Michael for attending and supporting the event. Their presence and continued commitment to community safety are greatly appreciated and demonstrate the importance of partnership working in addressing local issues.
Thank you also to everyone who joined us and shared their thoughts and experiences. We remain committed to working alongside residents, community leaders, and partner agencies to build safer and stronger communities.
