#OpMechanize has been conducted throughout Cardiff last week. This is a joint operation between Trading Standards, Tarian, HMRC and South Wales Police. The goal of the operation is tackle shopfronts linked to organised crime.
Following the receipt of recent intelligence, that was further developed by the local NPT, the corner shop at 114 NINIAN PARK ROAD was a target.
The shop was searched and cash recovered. Entry force was in to two vehicles, believed to belong to the occupier, and a quantity of Class B drugs were recovered.
A suspect was arrest and remanded for the offences of Possession with Intent to Supply Class B and Money Laundering. They have plead guilty to both offences and will remain in prison, with a full sentencing hearing next month.
With thanks to the community submitting intelligence and communicating with police on the day, a large number of commodity and a drug dealer have been taken off the street.
