With longer nights now upon us, staying safe is more important than ever, and your safety is our concern especially during a night out with friends or family, I would like to make you all aware of Ask for Angela.

Feeling uncomfortable, unsafe, threatened or vulnerable on a night out? 

Many pubs, bars, clubs, restaurants and entertainment venues support the Ask for Angela scheme, which provides a discreet way to seek help from trained staff.  

🗣️ How Does It Work? 

If you find yourself in a situation that doesn't feel right: 

👤 Approach a member of staff 

💬 Ask for "Angela" 

This lets staff know that you need assistance without having to explain the situation in front of others.  

🤝 How Can Staff Help? 

Depending on the situation, staff may: 

✅ Take you to a safe area 

✅ Help you leave the venue safely 

✅ Contact a friend or family member 

✅ Arrange safe transport home 

✅ Alert venue security 

✅ Contact the police if necessary 

👀 Who Is It For? 

Ask for Angela is available for anyone who feels uncomfortable, vulnerable, harassed or unsafe, whether on a date, with friends, or when dealing with unwanted attention from others.
