Driving Safety Reminder.

Driving Safety Reminder.

Hello,

Armed with torches, radios and absolutley no qualifications, officers spent far longer than they'd like to admit pacing up and down the road staring thoughtfully into a large puddle as if the answer might suddenly reveal itself.

With the assistance of local residents who were concerned about the flooding an extensive search took place and the elusive blocked drain was finally located and arrangements made to get it clear began.

Flooding reduced, road safer and officers slightly wetter.

A reminder that policing occasionally involves chasing criminals, but sometimes it involves hunting down a rogue drain that's decided it no longer believes in the free flow of water.

All jokes aside,

with the wet, windy and challenging weather conditions affecting our roads, please take extra care when travelling

A few extra minutes could make all the difference. Stay alert, stay patient, and help keep yourself and other road users safe.
