Joint Patrol Delivers Positive Results in Hampstead Town

On SATURDAY 24/10/2026, officers from Hampstead Town Safer Neighbourhood Team joined colleagues from Highgate Safer Neighbourhood Team for a proactive mobile patrol across the local area.

The operation focused on road safety, tackling offending and keeping our communities safe. During the patrol, officers conducted checks on vehicles using local roads and took positive action against drivers committing offences.

✅ One male was arrested after being found driving otherwise than in accordance with a licence. A further offence was identified during the stop, and the moped was seized.

✅ A second driver was found to be driving without insurance, resulting in their vehicle being seized.

By removing uninsured and unlawfully driven vehicles from our roads, we help make the area safer for everyone, including pedestrians, cyclists and other road users.

These results demonstrate the value of visible neighbourhood policing and joint working between local Safer Neighbourhood Teams. We will continue to carry out patrols, engage with residents and take action where offences are identified.
