Keeping Our Communities Safe | Weapon Sweep at Figges Marsh

Officers from the Met’s Searching Team (SOCO) recently carried out a weapon sweep in and around Figge’s Marsh as part of ongoing efforts to tackle violent crime and keep our communities safe.

These proactive searches help to identify and recover weapons that may have been concealed in public spaces, reducing the risk of harm and disruption caused by knife crime and violence.

Regular operations like these form part of our commitment to protecting local residents, providing reassurance, and maintaining safe public spaces for everyone who lives, works and visits the area.

If you have information about weapons or crime in your community, please speak to local officers, report via 101, or anonymously through Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
