A Safe Halloween for All |

Halloween is fast approaching.
We are committed to keeping everyone safe this Halloween and have compiled a handy list of tips for this coming Saturday night:
For residents not wishing to be disturbed on Halloween or have a friend, neighbour or relative who doesn't want trick or treaters knocking on their door, please print and display the attached poster and display clearly and prominently by the front door. (Click the attached link for the poster).
If trick or treating, make sure you only knock on houses with Halloween decorations and lights displayed. These are usually signs that the residents are happy to have others knock at their door.
Avoid knocking on doors that have posters advertising no trick or treaters or have no Halloween related decorations displayed.
Agree a safe meeting place with your children in case you get separated.
Write your contact telephone number down and tuck this in your childs pocket etc
If possible carry glow sticks, a battery operated candle or something hi-vis whilst out trick or treating. This will assist other road users to see children crossing roads. Be aware that most costumes are usually dark in colour and are difficult to see at night.
Advise children to not to enter any houses whilst trick or treating without a trusted adult.
We hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable Halloween. If you witness any suspicious or anti-social activity, call us on 101 or 999 in an emergency.
Please feel free to share this email with friends and/or family members.
Thankyou
