FIREWORKS SAFETY ADVICE- HALLOWEEN AND BONEFIRE NIGHT

Dear residents

Fireworks are a highlight of many celebrations across the UK, particularly during Halloween and Bonfire Night. They bring excitement, colour, and joy to communities, but they can also cause serious injuries and damage if they are not used safely.

We encourage everyone to enjoy fireworks responsibly and to follow safety precautions to protect themselves, their families, and their communities. Please ensure that fireworks are purchased from reputable retailers, used in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, and kept away from children.

To help keep residents safe, there will be an increased police presence and patrols throughout the Halloween and Bonfire Night period. Officers will be engaging with the community, responding to incidents, and taking appropriate action against anyone involved in antisocial behaviour or the misuse of fireworks.

By working together and celebrating responsibly, we can ensure that everyone enjoys a safe and enjoyable Halloween and Bonfire Night.

Stay safe, be considerate, and report any concerns to the police.
