Neighbourhood Policing Team Weekly Update

Neighbourhood Policing Team Weekly Update

Dear Residents

Here's a quick look at some of the work we've been doing to keep our community safe and connected

🚙 Day of Action joining forces with traffic enforcement officers targeting illegal and inconsiderate parking around Bournemouth and Queens Park schools. Action was taken against vehicles parked on double yellow lines, zigzags, the bus lane and disabled parking bays. Parking restrictions are in place to keep roads, pedestrians and children safe, improve visibility for all road users and ensure access for those who need it most.  Around 20 penalty tickets were issued during the operation.
🛴 Officers also tackled illegal use of scooters on that day with several being seized and a further two scooters seized by officers while out on regular patrols.
☑️Officers made several arrests this week, including a male who failed to appear at court on four separate occasions, a male arrested and charged with a public order offence, a male in connection with seven shoplifting offences, a person on suspicion of animal cruelty and a female for breaching her electronic monitoring tag on five occasions and for eight shoplifting offences.
📄 Two Section 35 dispersal orders issued to leave the area of Charminster for causing anti-social behaviour.
👏Four stop and searches conducted in line with legislation, helping to proactively tackle crime, disrupt offending, and safeguard the community.
👍 Officers attended two multi-agency meetings to discuss safeguarding measures to protect susceptible persons.
✔️Two vulnerability checks conducted to safeguard individuals, assess welfare concerns, and provide appropriate support where required
🥾 Officers conducted high-visibility foot patrols in hot spot areas of Charminster, Winton and West Howe, engaging with residents and shop staff providing reassurance and addressing local concerns.
