Here’s a quick update on drugs dealing crime in your area, please be reassured that we’re taking this seriously and are here to help. Community Update – Closure Order Secured at 89 Bordars Road, Hanwell
I am pleased to share that on 29 October 2026, a Full Closure Order was granted by Uxbridge Magistrates' Court in respect of 89 Bordars Road, Hanwell, W71AL. This follows a prolonged period of serious concerns relating to drug-related activity, anti-social behaviour, criminality and the exploitation of vulnerable individuals associated with the address.
The property had been a significant source of concern for local residents since 2025, attracting individuals involved in suspected drug dealing, drug misuse and acquisitive crime. The location had also become a focal point for vulnerable individuals who were potentially being exploited, placing both themselves and the wider community at risk.
As part of the closure process, police attended the address alongside Ealing Council's Safer Communities Team. During the visit, a male present at the property was identified as being wanted for burglary offences and was subsequently arrested. This demonstrates the type of criminality linked to the address and highlights the importance of the enforcement action taken.
Importantly, this operation was not solely about enforcement. Significant safeguarding opportunities were identified, with support being provided to vulnerable individuals connected to the property. Working with our partners, steps have been taken to assist those who may have been at risk of exploitation, poor housing conditions and other vulnerabilities. The closure of the premises will help protect these individuals while reducing opportunities for further criminal activity.
This result would not have been possible without the determination, patience and resilience shown by local residents who continued to report incidents, provide information and support our efforts throughout what has been a lengthy and often challenging process. Your willingness to come forward and work with police and partner agencies has been instrumental in achieving this outcome.
I would also like to place on record my sincere thanks to the London Borough of Ealing Safer Communities Team, in particular John Stanton and Khalid Khan, whose commitment, professionalism and perseverance have been exceptional. Their resilience in pursuing this case through to a successful conclusion, despite numerous challenges, played a pivotal role in securing the Closure Order and improving the safety and quality of life of those living nearby.
This outcome is a clear example of what can be achieved when residents, local authorities and police work together with a shared purpose. While the Closure Order marks a significant milestone, our work does not stop here. We will continue to monitor the area, support vulnerable individuals and work with the community to ensure these improvements are maintained.
Finally, thank you to everyone who contributed information, reported concerns and supported the process. Without the support, trust and persistence of the local community, this outcome would not have been possible.
