As Halloween approaches this Saturday the MET police are encouraging residents to enjoy the celebrations safely and responsibly For many families, Halloween is an opportunity to have fun and spend time with friends and neighbours. However, increased activity can sometimes lead to concerns around anti-social behaviour, nuisance or criminal damage. There will be increased patrols from the neighbourhood teams over the period. By working together, we can help ensure that everyone has a positive experience. You can support your communities by: - Remaining aware of activity within their local area.
- Sharing community safety messages with neighbours, friends and local groups.
- Being mindful of vulnerable residents who may be affected by increased activity during the evening.
- Reporting suspicious activity, anti-social behaviour or criminal damage through the appropriate channels.
Encouraging considerate parking and safe driving, particularly in residential areas where children may be out celebrating. Whether you're welcoming trick-or-treaters, spending time with family, or simply at home during the evening, your awareness and local knowledge can make a real difference. By looking out for one another, sharing information responsibly and reporting concerns when necessary, we can work together to support safe and enjoyable Halloween celebrations across our communities. In an emergency, or if a crime is in progress, always call 999. For non-emergency matters, please report via 101 or online. Thank you to all for the ongoing support.
