Fit, Fed & Fun Camp Brings Community Together in Townhill

Today saw the successful delivery of the first Fit, Fed & Fun Camp at the Phoenix Centre, Townhill, delivered in partnership with Ospreys in the Community.

The event was fully subscribed, with 50 local children attending for a day packed with activities, learning, and fun. It was fantastic to see so many young people enjoying themselves, making new friendships, and taking part in positive activities within their local community.

As part of the day, local officers engaged with attendees and delivered age-appropriate messages around community safety, anti-social behaviour and making positive choices, particularly as we approach the Halloween and Bonfire Night period.

A special thank you must go to Leanne and everyone at the Phoenix Centre for their continued support and generosity in allowing us to use the facilities free of charge. Their commitment to supporting opportunities for local children and families played a significant role in making the event possible.

We would also like to thank L4 Catering, based at the Phoenix Centre, for kindly allowing us to use their microwave facilities to help prepare and serve food to the children throughout the day. Their support, was greatly appreciated and helped ensure the event ran smoothly.

Finally, thank you to all partners, volunteers, staff, and most importantly the children who attended. The success of the day highlights what can be achieved when local organisations come together to invest in young people and create positive opportunities within our communities.

We look forward to building on this success and delivering more community-focused events in the future.
