Good morning Resident
I hope you are all doing well this fine, foggy morning. Let’s begin!
NHW Communication Switchover For those who were able to view last week's newsletter, you will have seen that we are transitioning from our email distribution system to the online Alert system. A link to the new platform is provided below. This change is intended to improve communication across the borough and provide better support for the various schemes operating within our communities. The system is straightforward to join and use; however, if you require any assistance, please do not hesitate to get in touch. I will be happy to help you register, create a new scheme, or be added to an existing one. I have already assisted several residents with setting up their schemes and joining current groups. Please note that the final email communication through the current system will be sent on 8 January. Join us | Neighbourhood Watch Network
Fireworks Night Fireworks night is fast approaching, a great traditional celebration. There will be many firework events happening across the borough Wimbledon park and Morden Park will be hosting great nights. Click the links to find out more. Firework Safety While fireworks can be a wonderful way to celebrate special occasions, it is important to remember that they can also present significant risks if not used responsibly. Fireworks should only be used safely, legally, and with consideration for those around us, as misuse can lead to injuries, property damage, and serious fire hazards. Loud bangs and unexpected flashes can also be extremely distressing for many pets, causing fear, anxiety, and panic. As a community, we can all play our part in ensuring celebrations remain enjoyable for everyone. Taking simple steps to follow safety guidance, respect permitted times for firework use, and consider the welfare of our neighbours and their animals can make a real difference. Please take a moment to read the articles below for practical advice on firework safety and how to help keep our beloved pets safe, calm, and comfortable during the firework season. I hope you all have a fantastic weekend
Warm regards
