Hello Residents for Bradstowe, Beacon Road and Kingsgate I hope you are all well and looking forward the the upcoming festive periods. I have not been able to provide my normal monthly update recently. So this one covers the last several weeks. On the Beacon Road ward whilst conducting evening patrols due to complaints of nuisance vehicles and bikes. I spotted a car being driven by a person with no license. After being stopped an arrest was made on suspicion of drug driving, with a final outcome still being looked into.A colleague and I responded to a report of a residential robbery, we attended and using local knowledge found the suspect and the stolen items. resulting in an arrest within one hour of the incident.I have several visits booked in to attend local schools and nurseries to meet the younger generation. This is vital to community policing, it provides early positive engagement with young persons and teaches them about the police.Coming into the colder/darker months I am planning traffic operations in the Broadstairs area. where advice and also enforcement with will provided. Once these have taken place I will provide updates on results. In recent weeks I have been to at least 24 calls to service, these are not always on my wards.Through good communication from the ward councillors, I was made aware of a report of a dog killing a cat in the Beacon Road ward. I am now investigating the matter and hope to have an update on this soon. With Halloween and Fireworks night in the next week, there will be police officers specifically assigned to respond to incidents relating to these. If you see any anti-social behaviour or any wrongdoing please report this to Kent police. Remembrance Sunday, 8th November. There is a service taking place at 1045 by the Broadstairs war memorial. I will be in attendance as will my colleague PC TAYLOR, if you wish to do so please attend. The next Police Surgery will be on Friday 6TH NOVEMEBER 2026 at 1500, taking place at Broadstairs Library. Hopefully I will see you then.Thank you PC 14643 ABSOLON |
