Five-Year Criminal Behaviour Order Secured for Prolific Retail Offender |

Officers have secured a five-year Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) against Jagjit Rao at Uxbridge Magistrates' Court on 28 October 2026. The order was obtained to prevent further retail offending and protect businesses, shop workers and the wider community.
As part of the CBO, Rao is prohibited from: • Entering any retail or commercial premises from which he has been formally banned.
These restrictions have been specifically designed to disrupt repeat offending and protect businesses that have been repeatedly impacted by shoplifting and anti-social behaviour.
A Criminal Behaviour Order is a powerful tool that allows police and the courts to place targeted restrictions on individuals who cause harm within our communities. Breaching any condition of the order is a criminal offence and may result in arrest, further prosecution and imprisonment.
This outcome demonstrates our ongoing commitment to tackling retail crime and supporting local businesses. Information and intelligence provided by retailers, staff and members of the public continue to play a vital role in identifying offenders and securing positive results.
If you witness suspicious activity or crime, please report it via 101, online through the Metropolitan Police website, or 999 in an emergency.
